Upcoming Rescue Tech Basic 2026 @ SCFA

Rescue Technician – Basic: This course provides a base from which to prepare students for a wide variety of possible rescue operations. Lectures and hands on will prove an overview in areas of specialized rescue, search, technical rescue management, risks and priorities, use of ropes, knots, and rope systems in a low angle environment, and establishment of landing zones for helicopter operations. Demonstrations, practice sessions and testing are included.

Prerequisites: Firefighter I, Basic Firefighter, or Firefighting Essentials.  EMS only members should contact the academy for instructions.

REGISTRATION WILL OPEN March 2nd, 2026 at 8AM.
