Upcoming Firefighter II – 2026 – 2

The Firefighter II is a Hybrid course of classroom, self-paced sessions and hands-on training.

All sessions are conducted at SCFA.

In addition to the classroom sessions, students are required to actively participate in online based training using the IFSTA ResourceOne learning management system. This course will require extensive self-study, reading and completion of homework assignments from the student. The text book for this course is IFSTA Essentials of Firefighting (7th edition). Upon successful registration, students will be provided with access information for the ResourceOne program and the course syllabus.

Sessions 2, 4 and 6 will be self paced learning.

Seats are limited and pre-registration is required.

Prerequisites: Firefighter I, ICS200, Heavy Rescue, and have attended the SCFA Flammable Gas Emergencies field drill (within the past 5 years).

REGISTRATION WILL OPEN ON February 16th, 2026 AT 8:00 AM.
