Class Full Firefighter II – 3

The Firefighter II is a Hybrid course of classroom self-paced sessions and hands on training.  The classroom sessions will be held at 7:30 pm on Thursdays, September 2, 9 and 23, 2021. 

Hands on training will be conducted on September 16th and 30th. 

The final exam will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 7:30 pm. 

All sessions are conducted at the Suffolk County Fire Academy.

In addition to the classroom sessions, students are required to actively participate in online based training using the IFSTA ResourceOne learning management system.  This course will require extensive self-study, reading and completion of homework assignment from the student.  The text book for this course is IFSTA Essential of Firefighting (7th edition).  Upon successful registration, students will be provided with access information for the ResourceOne program and the course syllabus. 

Seats are limited and pre-registration is required.

NOTE: Registration for this course will begin July 2, 2021 at 8:00 am.
