Upcoming Firefighter I – 5 @ West Sayville – 2026

The West Sayville Fire Department will host a Firefighter I Course beginning Thursday, January 29th, 2026 at 7PM.

The course is a combination of Classroom Sessions, Self-Paced learning, and Hands-On Training Sessions (HOT) held over a 15-week period culminating in a Practical Skills Exam and Written Final Exam .

Sessions 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14 will be self-paced learning. 

Students MUST attend all sessions of this course. Seats are limited and registration is required. No walk-ins will be admitted.  After your registration is processed, you will receive a confirmation email with final instructions.

REGISTRATION WILL OPEN ON November 29th 2025 AT 8:00 AM.
