Expired Firefighter I

The Suffolk County Fire Academy will host a Firefighter I Course beginning on Monday, May 17, 2021. The course is a combination of classroom sessions, virtual sessions and self-paced learning over a 10-week period. There will also be five hands-on training sessions (HOT) and a Practical Skills exam and written final exam.

The classroom session of this course will be held at the Fire Academy at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, May 17th. The virtual sessions will be held at 8:00 a.m. on the following Mondays: May 24, June 7, June 14, June 28, July 19, July 26, and August 2, 2021. The hands-on-training (HOT) will be held at the Fire Academy at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesdays: June 1, June 8, June 15, June 22 and June 29, 2021. The final exam will be held at the Fire Academy on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at 8:00 a.m.

Student MUST attend all sessions of this course. Seats are limited and registration is required. No walk-ins will be admitted. After your registration is processed, you will receive a confirmation email with final instructions.
