The Suffolk County Fire Academy will host a Basic Exterior Firefighter Course beginning on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. The course is a combination of classroom sessions, a virtual session and self-paced learning offered over a 15-week period.
The course includes a written final exam held at the Suffolk County Fire Academy.
Student MUST attend all sessions of this course. Seats are limited and registration is required. No walk-ins will be admitted. After your registration is processed, you will receive a confirmation email with final instructions.
Course Length: 82 Hours
Prerequisite: CPR, ICS100*
Certificate: NYS
NOTE: Sessions 6, 8, 12 and 14 will be self-paced learning.
Final Exam Date TBD.
