The Suffolk County Fire Academy will host a Basic Exterior Firefighter Course beginning on Sunday, August 23rd, 2026 at 8AM.
This course is not for firefighters seeking interior status.
The course is a combination of classroom sessions, and self-paced learning offered over a 15-week period.
The course includes a written final exam.
Student MUST attend all sessions of this course. Seats are limited and registration is required. No walk-ins will be admitted. After your registration is processed, you will receive a confirmation email with final instructions.
Sessions 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14 will be self-paced learning.
REGISTRATION WILL OPEN on June 23rd, 2026 at 8:00 am.
